To comply with OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard 1910.1200, an employer must keep a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for each product used in the workplace, must maintain an inventory of all the chemicals, and must provide their employees access to those MSDSs. Damarco's MSDS Management system provides employers with a user-friendly, cost effective web-based solution, regardless of the number of employees, locations or MSDSs.

Two basic service options are shown below. Either can be customized based on your needs.

Option 1 is designed to serve small government agencies, educational institutions, and service industries. These organizations typically have a lot of commonality in the products they use, with many of their purchases being retail products or commercial versions of retail products. Since a large portion of the MSDSs they need are already in our database, these clients can easily use our online tools to set up their own MSDS management system. They simply access our web site, follow our instructions to set up their organizational structure, locate the MSDSs they need, and add them to the sites, facilities, or departments that require them. Only those MSDSs not in our system need to be mailed to us for scanning and indexing. This is a very cost-effective solution for those with a limited budget.

Option 2 is designed to serve large government agencies, health care systems and manufacturing facilities. These organizations may have a large number of MSDSs unique to their operations, may require frequent MSDS updating, may need additional indexed fields, may want to do special tracking for environmental or other reporting, or may require additional back-up support. These clients typically send us their MSDSs for clean-up, scanning and indexing; however, they may also move MSDSs already in our database to their inventory lists with a click of the mouse. This is a cost-effective solution for those with complex MSDS management needs who are looking for ways to automate their processes or improve the efficiency of their organization.

MSDS Management
	Create unlimited numbers of divisions and subdivisions to match your inventories with the structure of your organization Add MSDSs from your database or the global database to any number of divisions and subdivisons of your organization. Archive MSDSs for products you no longer use. Archived MSDSs may be found on search at any time. Inventory lists of archived MSDSs may be generated. Newest version of any MSDS is shown on search; older versions may be easily accessed with a simple mouse click. Generate a single inventory list or all of your inventory lists with a single click. Inventory lists may be generated as worksheets in a workbook or as individual workbooks. Email inventory lists to yourself or download from the website Inventory lists contain links for the product names. Access the MSDS from any computer on the Internet by simply clicking on the link. Security
	Both administrative and general access may be assigned to each level of your inventory structure. Admins may add subdivisions, add and archive MSDSs and create logins for others to access the data below them. General logins at a particular level can limit employee access to the MSDSs at their particular site or location.
Customization
	Administrators may add synonyms to MSDSs in their control. These alternative or nicknames are searchable in the name search for an MSDS Home page may be customized with your organization's logo or message. Additional customizations are planned... watch for updates.
Data Access
	Unlimited access is availabe 24/7 via the website Administrators may back up their inventory lists and a file containing all MSDSs any time for download to a local computer or burn it to a CD. Executable print files may be generated of all or a subset of MSDS for download to print books at your site for those without computer access.
Training and Customer Service
	Employee Training materials are provided, including a PowerPoint Presentation on how to use the system. FAQ and how to instructions will be available on the website for administrators. Telephone support for account management available during business hours. Periodic activity reports of system utilization available.
	In person training available in most locations in the upper Midwest. Charges may apply based on distance and account size.
MSDS Handling
	Client sends via mail (hard copies) or email (electronic copies) any MSDS not in our system. A set number of new MSDSs may be sent without additional charge.
	MSDSs are sent via mail or courier. Damarco staff will scan and index, sort out duplicates and attempt to replace poor quality, non-manufacturer MSDS (within reason) or old MSDS with new versions. Damarco will return MSDS when work completed. Archived MSDS will be priced separately as a contractual item. Client mails or emails new or updated MSDSs to Damarco as they are received from their vendors. Consistently performed, this should obviate the need for purchasing any kind of updating service.
MSDS Distribution
	Ability to use the Damarco system to manage your customers' access to MSDS (additional charges may apply)
